CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER ARRESTED FOR SEX ACTS WITH STUDENTS
On June 18, 2013, the Corona Police Department was notified by staff of the Corona Norco Unified School District of a possible inappropriate relationship between a female teacher at Centennial High School and a now, former student. The school district received the allegation and immediately notified the Corona Police Department and CPS. The police department and the district continue to work closely during the investigation.
According to Corona-Norco School District Assistant Superintendent, Tom Pike, “the district has placed the teacher on leave, and all teachers undergo a thorough background check prior to employment, including clearance from the FBI and Department of Justice.”
During the investigation, Corona Police Detectives have identified multiple victims, under the age of 18 years, who have had alleged sexual contact with the teacher, while on school grounds. On June 20, 2013, two search warrants were served in regard to this case; one in the City of Corona and the other in the County of Riverside.
As a result of the investigation, Summer Michelle Hansen, 31 years of Corona, was arrested for multiple counts of allegedly engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and alleged oral copulation of a minor.
This is an ongoing investigation and we believe there may be other victims. We are asking for parents of male students who attend Centennial High School to speak with their children about any contact they may have had with the suspect in this case. If anyone has information on this case, please contact Detective Mario Hernandez of the Corona Police Department at (951) 279-3659. For media inquiries, please contact Sgt. Kim Velasco at (951) 736-2280.
