The Columbia Township Police Department is investigating a burglary discovered on Sunday night, June 23, at approximately 11:32 P.M., at Cement City Baptist Church on Cement City Road, near Cary Road. The Sheriff’s Department K-9 tracked for a distance from the scene to nearby Miller Elementary, although no suspect was located.
A search of the building revealed a suspect or suspects had in fact been inside the building, and had entered the office area. An inventory is being conducted to determine if anything was in fact taken from the church.
