Police activity yesterday evening in the area of Chestnut was a result of a high speed chase that started in Montgomery. 
The heavy police presence in the north side of the village yesterday evening was a result of a high speed chase that started in Montgomery. The suspect exited his vehicle and ran from our officers in the area of Homewood and Hawthorne. He was arrested in a rear yard on Wooster Pk. He ran through several rear yards on Beech, Chestnut and Wooster Pk. It is believed that he threw a black bag into a yard and it has not been located at this time. If anyone locates a bag, please do not touch it and contact the Mariemont Police right away at 271-4089.
