Torrance man arrested at the end of a vehicle pursuit
At approximately 3:50 a.m. this morning, 56 year old Torrance resident Bran Hubbard led South Los Angeles Station deputies on a vehicle pursuit that ended in San Bernardino County.
The pursuit began when deputies attempted to contact Hubbard after they saw him stopped for a green light at the intersection of 120 Street and Vermont Avenue in the unincorporated area of South Los Angeles.
After travelling a short distance on surface streets, the pursuit entered the eastbound 105 Freeway and continued to the northbound 605 Freeway at which time California Highway Patrol officers took over.
The pursuit eventually entered San Bernardino County and ended when CHP officers used the Pursuit Intervention Technique (aka P.I.T maneuver) near the 10 and 215 Freeways.
Hubbard, who was determined to be on active parole, was taken into custody by CHP officers and will be facing a variety of charges. No bail information is available at this time.
