Use caution during hot weather conditions this week. Temperatures expected in the 100's.

The El Dorado County Health & Human Services Agency are urging residents to take precautions to protect themselves during the expected hot weather.

It is important to drink plenty of water, limit exertion, and stay indoors in an air conditioned location as much as possible. The elderly, very young and those with chronic medical conditions or mental illness may be particularly susceptible to high temperatures and overheating.

The Placerville Main Library, Cameron Park Library, and El Dorado Hills Library will each be open Tuesday 7/2 & Wednesday 7/3 from Noon until 7:00 PM for a cool place for people to go.

Cameron Park Branch - 2500 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park
El Dorado Hills Branch, 7455 Silva Valley Parkway, El Dorado Hills

Additionally, the Community Resource Center, 1867 Broadway Drive, Placerville, is open from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Tuesday 7/2 through Thursday 7/4. The Upper Room Dining Hall, 1868 Broadway Drive, Placerville, is also open from 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM Tuesday through Thursday.
