PRESS RELEASE: Syracuse man arrested on meth charges at local Warsaw store.
On Tuesday, July 2, 2013, Warsaw Police received information regarding a male subject who appeared to be sleeping on a bench inside a local store for approximately six hours. Contact was made with the male subject, identified as Gary Steven Kirkwood, 9397 N. Koher Road East, Syracuse, IN 46567, who was found to be in possession of items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Additionally, during the search of Kirkwood’s moped, several other meth precursors were located as well as an HCL generator and two “one pot” methamphetamine labs. The Warsaw Police Department Narcotics Team and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team assisted with the methamphetamine lab disposal.
Gary Kirkwood was arrested and transported to the Kosciusko County Jail on an active parole warrant as well as charges of possession of precursors and manufacturing methamphetamine.
