July 4th Activities start July 3rd in East Aurora

Reminder that the July 4th celebration in East Aurora is on July 3rd. On the agenda is a 7:00 PM parade starting at Main & Riley streets in the Village and proceeding westbound to S. Grove. From there the parade will head south on South Grove St. into Hamlin Park. Main St. will be temporarily closed from from Riley to S. Grove for approximately 30-40 minutes for the parade. Also Riley St. between Main & Fillmore will be closed for the parade staging, and S. Grove will be closed from Main to Griggs Place for the parade. The roads will be open as soon as safely possible. In addition a band will play in Hamlin Park from 7:30 PM until the fireworks start at 10:00 PM. The rain date will be July 4 at 10:00 PM for fireworks only. Due to the volume of traffic and pedestrians expected, parking will be restricted in certain areas and the regulations will be enforced. So mind the no parking areas. Last keep in mind that fireworks should be left to the professionals only. Do not bring any fireworks to the Park or Village, as they are illegal to possess anyway. However, patience, common sense and caution are always welcome. Thank you and have a great, and safe 4th of July.
