Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight tonight.
Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight tonight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to develop this afternoon and evening especially across northern and central New Hampshire. In such a moist air mass localized flash flooding will be possible in any slow moving thunderstorm since the area is already quite waterlogged.
This is especially true in vulnerable areas that have already seen flash flooding over the last several days. Campers and hikers are urged to stay away from swiftly moving rivers and streams.
Instructions:
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
