Vehicles damaged overnight - request neighborhood’s assistance
(Windsor Heights, IA) Several vehicles were damaged overnight in Windsor Heights and the Police Department is requesting your assistance to help identify those involved.
Officers discovered at least 5 vehicles vandalized in the Colby Avenue area (6400 to 6800 Block) around 3AM on the 8th of July. Two adolescent males were seen running from the area and a witness described one of the individuals as a skinny, 15 or 16 year old, white male wearing a white muscle shirt. The second individual was described as a skinny, 15 or 16 year old, black male wearing a dark colored T-shirt.
Attempts were made to locate the individuals when these incidents occurred; however, officers have been unable to identify any suspects at this time.

Parents are encouraged to please supervise your child’s social media postings and talk with them about bringing forward information to responsible adults when they see or hear details of these types of incidents.
