Deputies and Investigators from the Giles County Sheriff's Department along with Officers from Lawrenceburg Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff's Department are continuing to investigate locations of methamphetamine manufacture on Shuler Branch Rd in North Western Giles County and in areas of nearby Lawrence County. Deputies responded at about 1:00 a.m. to a report of methamphetamine labs and when they arrived they found evidence of several meth labs known as the one-pot or shake and bake labs. investigators are continuing the investigation and charges are expected soon. Sheriff Kyle Helton said his office is facing an extremely large increase in meth labs and meth lab hazardous waste being located on private and public properties in Giles County. This places the general public and children in great danger of coming in contact with these hazardous life threatening chemicals. These labs contain chemicals that can cause severe fire, explosions and chemical burns or even death.
