At approximately 12:25 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013, deputies from Industry Sheriff’s Station, responded to a call of a fire in the 500 block of North Sandspring Drive, La Puente.

As the fire was being extinguished, 36 year-old Jeffrey Condrey of La Puente ran from the home. He was quickly detained by deputies and subsequently transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained from the fire. While at the hospital Suspect Condrey attempted to escape, but was again detained by deputies.

Detectives from the Arson/Explosives Detail of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. responded and determined the cause of the fire to be arson. There is an estimated $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 damage to the home.
