In its continuing effort to reduce the influence of illegal drug activity in and around the Warsaw community, Warsaw Police Narcotics Officers concluded several drug investigations with arrests today. Around noon, Warsaw Police fanned out over the area and served multiple arrest warrants after undercover purchases of prescription medications were made.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with Dealing in a Schedule I, II, or III Controlled Substance, a class B felony, and had $10,000 surety only bonds;
Toni L. Butts, 46 years old, of Warsaw, IN
Emerson C. Butts Jr., 24 years old, of Warsaw, IN.
Lawrence E. Cameron, 48 years old, of Warsaw, IN.
Nathan A. Ghrist, 32 years old, of Warsaw, IN.
Sierra L. Scaife, 18 years old, of Warsaw, IN.
Bonnie J. Smith, 33 years old, of Columbia City, IN.
Andrew Spears, 23 years of age, of Warsaw, IN.
Debra K. Starr, 52 years old, of Warsaw, IN.

Upon serving the warrant on Andrew Spears, officers also found additional prescription drugs packaged and ready for sale, and a quarter pound of marijuana. Additional dealing charges will be filed on Spears.

Also arrested yesterday was;
Kendall J. Kerlin, 27 years old, of Warsaw, IN., on a class A felony charge of Dealing in a Narcotic Drug within 1000 feet of a school, and Possession of a Schedule I or II Narcotic, a class D felony. She had a $10,000 surety only bond.

Warsaw Police are still seeking two (2) additional people on warrants. Charges for additional people are being sought and more charges are expected.
