Narrative:
On 07/19/2013 at about 12:09 AM, Deputies from the Moorpark Police Station responded to a single vehicle traffic collision on Championship Drive and Trevino Drive. A male juvenile with three other male juveniles in the car were traveling westbound on Championship Drive. The driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid sideways and collided into the north curb line of Championship Drive. The vehicle flipped over and the drivers’ side colliding with a concrete Edison streetlight pole. The three passengers were able to climb out of the vehicle on their own.
The Ventura County Fire Department heavy rescue personnel conducted an extrication to remove the driver, who was trapped in the driver’s seat of the vehicle wreckage. The extrication took approximately fifty minutes to accomplish. The driver and all passengers were transported by Ambulance to Los Robles Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision at this time and the cause of this collision is still under investigation. Westbound traffic on Championship Dr. was restricted for about three hours.
