Brief Narrative of Incident:

On July 24, 2013, at approximately 12:10 p.m., Cypress Police Officers were dispatched to the 8600 Block of Watson Street (Cypress Arnold Park) to investigate a robbery that just occurred. Prior to the arrival of the officers, the two male subjects immediately fled the area eastbound on Crescent Avenue in an older model White GMC Yukon SUV with an unknown license plate number.

During the investigation, it was determined that subject # 1 approached the victim who was seated at a table using his laptop computer. The victim felt an unknown object press up against the back of his neck, then heard subject # 1 tell the victim not to move followed by threatening language. The victim assumed the object to be a gun. Subject # 1 removed the victim’s wallet and cellular phone from the victim’s pants pockets, and then took the laptop computer. Subject # 1 ran southbound on Watson Street towards an awaiting vehicle.

A witness to the crime saw the driver, subject # 1 and subject # 2, (the right front passenger), traveling northbound on Watson Street at a high rate of speed. The witness provided the victim his cellular telephone to call 9-1-1.

Shortly after subject # 1 and subject # 2 fled the scene; the victim’s credit card was used at a nearby gas station to fill the two listed vehicles. Both male subjects and a female subject were seen at the gas station in connection to the stolen credit card. The photographs shown are from the video surveillance footage.

The case is being investigated by detective from the Cypress Police Department. If you have any information regarding the crime, please contact the Cypress Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau at 714-229-6631. Information provided to the Cypress Police Department will be kept anonymous.
