First responders & Citizen revive woman aboard a vessel in Marina del Rey #LASD
A call of a female in full cardiac arrest aboard a vessel located in the “Bravo” Basin of Marina del Rey brought Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies in patrol boat “Edgington” at 1:45PM, Saturday, July 27, 2013.
When Marina del Rey Sheriff’s boat deputies arrived, they found a citizen performing active hands-only CPR on the female patient.
Deputy Burnett and Deputy Feder immediately took over CPR and applied an automatic external defibrillator (AED).
Los Angeles County Fire Engine 110 firefighters arrived, and after approximately 15 minutes of CPR and the application of medication; paramedics were able to obtain a weak but steady pulse. The patient was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
