The Elmwood Park Police Department in conjunction with the Elmwood Park Fire Department , Elmwood Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps., Elmwood Park Recreation Department and the Local Governing Body , will be hosting National Night Out on August 6, 2013 from 6:30pm until 9:30pm at Borough Field.
National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen our communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and most importantly, send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. It’s also the perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbors even better.
The event activities will include inflatable air rides for children, free balloons, hot dogs, italian ice, and bottled water(while supplies last). DJ Entertainment will be provided by Sound Surge Entertainment. There will also be kids contests with prizes. See you there.
If you cannot make it to the field, please participate by illuminating the exterior lights around your home tonight as a sign of community and partnership with th Elmwood Park Police Department against crime.
