On 08-19-13, at approximately 08:15AM, AEPD officers were advised of a commercial burglary on E. College Avenue (2800 block). Complainant informed officers that unknown persons had illegally entered the business during the period of 08-17-13 @ 4:00PM and 08-19-13 @ 08:00AM. It was determined that an assortment of tools was taken during the burglary.
Also, on 08-19-13, at approximately 11:00AM, a resident arrived at AEPD Headquarters to report that his home had been burglarized earlier in the morning. Upon investigation, it was determined that unknown persons had entered the residence during the period of 09:20AM and 10:05AM. Items taken during the incident were reported as a laptop computer, an electronic game and assorted jewelry.
Investigation and crime scenes were processed for possible latent evidence. No known suspects at the time of the reports.
Neither incident location revealed signs of forced entry. Investigations continue by AEPD; anyone having possible information in either incident is requested to contact Inv. Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526.
