Power outage in town due to a transformer explosion on Ridge Road. PSE&G is working to restore power. 
Please be advised the power outage being experienced in the township was caused by a transformer explosion on the 200 block of Ridge Road. PSE&G Electric and emergency responders are on scene making the necessary repairs. Pleas DO NOT CALL Lyndhurst Police Headquarters to inquire as to when the power will be restored, as there is no timeline. PSE&G is on scene working, and it will be restored as expeditious as possible.
Please avoid Ridge Road between Freeman Street and New York Avenue due to road closures.
