Franklin, TN – Police in Franklin are investigating the city’s third gas station robbery in 11 days, and detectives believe that the same suspect may be responsible for each of them.
At approximately 11:00pm last night, officers were summoned to the Delta Express at 501 Liberty Pike following a 9-1-1 call from a clerk there reporting that he had just been robbed at gunpoint. The clerk complied with the masked man armed with a handgun after he entered the store and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot and remains at large; the clerk was not hurt.
Detectives believe that the same suspect, a 6’ tall black male with a slim build, in his mid to late 20s, held up two Franklin gas stations on 08/10/2013 (http://www.franklintn.gov/index.aspx?page=204&recordid=2101).
