On 8/23/2013, The Slocomb Police Department did assist the Houston County Sheriffs Department while involved in a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle in question did enter the Slocomb City Limits on 52 East and did proceed on State Road 52 through the city limits and did exit the Slocomb City Limits on 52 West and proceeded onto the City of Hartford, at no time did the vehicle leave State Highway 52 and enter the Slocomb School System Grounds. It has been reported that the vehicle was in the school area, the vehicle went through the school zone on State Highway 52 without stopping. Vehicle was stopped in the Hartford City Limits and both occupants taken into custody. Good job to all law enforcement involved, as well as the school system taking necessary precautions.
