NON-FATAL SHOOTING
On August 22, 2013, at approximately 11:31 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police Communications received a call for a shooting in the area of Meade Village Road and Meade Village Circle.
The 24-year-old male victim was located walking on Reece Road by two citizens who were driving along Reece Road. The citizens stopped after almost striking the victim with their vehicle. The citizens then drove the victim out of the area and called 911. Communications directed the citizens to arriving officers and fire for assistance as the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma with non life threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Western District Detectives Unit, Air and K-9 all responded and assisted with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, but no suspect information has been provided by the victim or witnesses at this time.
Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
