On August 22, 203 Chief Deputy Damion Marsh of the Perry County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck operated by Brent M. Goffinet in the 1100 block of 12th street, Tell City for False/Fictitious Registration.
Deputy Marsh requested the Cannelton K9 Unit to assist. Officer Jackson and K9 Erik arrived on scene and subsequent to a positive K9 alert on the pickup, crystal methamphetamine and several hypodermic syringes were located. Goffinet, of Spencer County was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe.
