On August 23, 2013 Tell City Patrolman Jason Shadwick conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car in the area of the old GE building on Payne Street after receiving a traffic complaint. Officer Shadwick requested assistance from the Cannelton K9 Unit.
Subsequent to a positive alert by K9 Erik, Several packages of Synthetic Marijuana and articles of Paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. Jennifer Carter, of Birdseye was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids and Possession of Paraphernalia.
