Cannelton Police Department is releasing information about a recent crime/crime activity.
On August 25, 2013 the Cannelton Police Department received a call about a runaway juvenile. Officer Micah Jackson conducted an investigation and utilized all available means to locate the 12 year old juvenile. Police located the 12 year old along with 18 year old, Oscar P. Hockenberry after they attempted to hide and elude officers.
Officer Jackson continued the investigation and after conducting interviews Oscar P. Hockenberry of Cannelton was arrested for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Child Molesting, a Class C Felony. Hockenberry was lodged at the Perry County Jail. The investigation is still continuing and other charges could be added.
