Alert citizens called 911 in reference to residential burglary in Piney Orchard... Arrest Made! 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY ARREST
ODENTON - PINEY ORCHARD
On August 28, 2013, at approximately 12:03 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 2400 block of Kilarney Terrace in Odenton for a reported burglary.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses, who saw a male suspect break into a home and flee. The witnesses provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle. The suspect was stopped in his vehicle nearby the crime scene and taken into custody. Additional witnesses provided information concerning the suspect throwing objects from his vehicle prior to being stopped by the police. This information resulted in the recovery of items taken from the home.
The suspect was identified as James R. Hayes, 42, 1800 Metzerott Road, Apartment 308, Adelphi, Maryland. He was charged with First and Third Degree Burglary, Theft under $1,000 and Destruction of Property over $500.
