POSSIBLE ATTEMPTED CAR JACKING
SEVERN
On Saturday, August 31, 2013, at approximately 6:26 a.m., officers from the Western District responded to the area of WB&A road in Severn, Maryland, for a report of an attempted car jacking.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated that she was traveling northbound on WB&A road when she stopped at a stop sign at Maple Tree road. At that time the driver’s side window of the Lincoln Town Car she was operating was struck with an unknown tool causing the window to shatter. She also heard someone attempting to pull open the driver’s side door which was locked. At that time the victim sped off and stopped approximately one mile away and called police.
Numerous Officers searched and canvassed the area for the suspect and/or any witnesses with negative results. There is no suspect description.
There have no other similar incidents reported in the area, both prior to and after this incident.
