Robbery Suspect Caught After Hiding Inside Azusa (Co.) Restaurant LASD San Dimas
On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at about 2:40 PM, a male adult was robbed of his cellular telephone. This robbery occurred in a public parking lot at the intersection of Arrow Highway and Clydebank Avenue, in unincorporated Azusa (San Dimas Sheriff’s Station Patrol Area) .
Wednesday, at about 3:55 PM, San Dimas Sheriff’s deputies saw the suspect in the 5200 block of Roxburgh Avenue, unincorporated Azusa. The suspect fled from deputies and holed up inside Dino’s Burgers, located at 843 W. Arrow Highway, in the City of Azusa.
The restaurant was evacuated, and several sheriff’s stations and law-enforcement agencies responded, including Industry and Walnut Sheriff’s Station deputies, Azusa Police Department officers, and officers from the California Highway Patrol.
Sheriff’s canine units searched the location and found the suspect hiding inside a bathroom. He was taken into custody without incident.
