Western District officers have responded to multiple reports of daytime burglaries in the past couple of weeks in the Laurel area. In several cases, the suspect(s) are cutting the screens on a rear window, usually located above a kitchen sink, then forcing open the window. In other cases, the suspects are prying rear sliding doors open with an unknown tool.

Once inside, the suspect(s) are targeting personal property such as jewelry, electronics and US currency. Suspects are then exiting the residences through a front or rear sliding door.

The incidents have occurred on the following streets:

Frostwood Drive, Laurel
Marganza South, Laurel
Old Line Avenue, Laurel
Lunar Court, Laurel
Galaxy Way, Laurel
Summit View Road, Laurel

Residents are asked to be on the lookout in the community for suspicious vehicles and persons and are asked to call 911 immediately to report any suspicious activity. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact a detective from the Burglary Squad at (410) 222-6155.
