Fri Morning Felon Captured by FPD; Ofcs located & arrested suspect following Twitter/Nixle bulletin
Franklin, TN – Officers were summoned to the 200 block of Cherry Drive at 7:15 this morning after a resident reported that a man had entered the home and assaulted someone inside. Jeremy Rogers, 30, of Franklin, was identified as the suspect in this domestic-related crime. Rogers, who knew the residents inside the home he entered, fled just prior to officers arriving.
A public bulletin asking for community help to locate Rogers was issued; he was located by officers and taken into custody moments later. While the Nixle alerting system and @FranklinTNPD Twitter did not play a role in this suspect’s capture, FPD community alerts, like this one, help to raise awareness of police activity, evolving situations, and aid in the identification and capture of wanted suspects.
Rogers has been booked into the Williamson County Jail for Aggravated Burglary and Assault. He is being held on a $15,000 bond and is due in court on 09/26/2013 at 1:00pm.
