The Cannelton Police Department is releasing information about a recent crime/crime activity near your address.
On September 7, 2013 at 8:15 PM, Patrolman Ryan Smith initiated a traffic stop on a bicycle near the intersection of State Road 66 and State Road 237. The rider of the bicycle fell off the bike, nearly striking a vehicle on State Road 237. The rider then continued to ride, swerving back into the lane of travel. During the course of the stop it was determined that the rider was intoxicated. The rider refused to consent to a chemical breath test. The driver was then incarcerated at the Perry County Jail.
Arrested was John L. Sullivan, 52 of Cannelton. Sullivan was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, a Class A Misdemeanor.
