Update: Tues. LASD Deputy Involved Shooting, E. Almanza Ln/ Miller Av, East Los Angeles
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a deputy-involved shooting that occurred Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at approximately 1:31 AM, near the intersection of East Almanza Lane and Miller Avenue, East Los Angeles.
Detectives have learned that deputies responded to a call of a woman screaming, in the City Terrace (unincorporated East Los Angeles) area and were flagged down by a witness who told them he had seen a man with a gun.
While searching the area for the suspect, the deputies heard a gunshot. They attempted to detain a possible suspect, who began fighting with them. A deputy-involved shooting occurred and the suspect was hit. The suspect ran a short distance and collapsed.
Los Angeles County Fire Paramedics responded and pronounced the suspect dead at the scene. A handgun was recovered from the scene.
No deputies were injured.

Once concluded, every aspect of the shooting is reviewed by the Sheriff's Executive Force Review

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. No deputies were injured.
