THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED AN
* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL BERNALILLO COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO
* UNTIL 445 PM MDT
* AT 1149 AM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED PERSISTENT MODERATE RAIN OVER THE ALBUQUERQUE METRO AREA. RAIN MOSTLY MODERATE BUT LOCALLY HEAVY AT TIMES IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. RAINFALL RATES OF AN INCH IN AN HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE.
* HEAVY WATER PONDING OR CURB FULL WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED IN CITY STREETS, ROAD INTERSECTIONS, AND SOME RESIDENTIAL AREAS. DRAINAGE CHANNELS WILL BE DANGEROUS WITH FAST FLOWS AND HIGH WATER.

DURING THIS LONG RAIN EVENT...KEEP CHILDREN AND PETS AWAY FROM ARROYOS AND DRAINAGE CHANNELS. NEVER CROSS FAST FLOWING WATER ON FOOT.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
