Hello Hollenbeck Community,
The Hollenbeck's Effective License Plate & Auto Theft Prevention Program (H.E.L.P.) Giveaway was created in an effort to help prevent the number of auto-related thefts in the Hollenbeck Community. The Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council and the Police Advisory Board, in conjunction with LAPD Hollenbeck Area, will be providing steering wheel locks and license plate security screws to community members of the Hollenbeck Area.
The targeted vehicles are 1995-2005 Hondas and Toyotas.
The event began September 4, 2013, and will continue until all steering wheel locks and license plate screws are given away. To obtain the items, the community members need only to live in the Hollenbeck Area and drive one of the targeted vehicles. They will be required to show proof of residence (i.e. utility bill or driver’s license) and vehicle registration to the officer at the front desk, or any of the Hollenbeck Area Senior Lead Officers.
