#CanyonFire in LaVerne (Co.) No. of 210 Fwy near San Dimas & Claremont #LASD @LACo_FD
A 12:51PM call Friday to San Dimas Sheriff's Station reported a brush fire in the 300 block of Roughrider Road near Broken Spur Road in unincorporated La Verne. Deputies went door to door to evacuate people and horses. LA County Fire responded to the Canyon Fire along with deputies. Areas that were evacuated include LeRoy Haynes Center, Roughrider Rd, Saddle Horn Ln, Quail Valley Rd, Williams Ave, Summit Rd, and Glen Ivy St; all north of the 210 freeway in San Dimas. LA County Fire has reported that the containment looks like it is getting under control and that firefighters are making good progress.
