Belk Mgr on His Game Helps Crack Crime Ring; 3 FL men held, $85k bonds after evidence found in hidden compartments
Franklin, TN – Three Miami men (Ecnar Reinos, Pavel Gonzalez, and Manuel Rodriguez) remain behind bars on felony charges thanks to the keen eye of a Belk security manager. Police were summoned to the store shortly after noon on Monday after security keyed in on several men making suspicious credit card purchases. Franklin Police uncovered more than $5,000 worth of brand-name watches, purses, wallets, and clothing, all believed to have been purchased with stolen credit card data.
This case quickly came together when several credit cards, drivers licenses, and papers containing credit card numbers, CVV codes, and zip codes for 31 accounts were found in several hidden compartments throughout the vehicle. Detectives determined that the men had purchased fake drivers licenses, credit cards, and credit card information to purchase retail items they planned to take back to Miami and sell. U.S. Secret Service Agents responded to assist police during the investigation.
Each of the suspects is jailed on $85,000 bonds and due in court on 09/24/2013 at 1:00 pm.
