Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children in the United States, but many of these deaths can be prevented. Placing children in age and size appropriate restraint systems reduces serious and fatal injuries by more than half.
Franklin Police will hold a car seat “checkup” event on Friday, 09/20/2013 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Fire Station #2, 907 Murfreesboro Road. This event is being held in conjunction with National Child Passenger Safety Week. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on hand at this event, which is free to the public, to assist parents and caregivers with the proper installation and use of child restraint systems.
