This message is to advise residents of burglary activity on Thursday September 19th in Saddle River and neighboring towns north and south of the Borough. These five incidents of burglaries and attempted burglaries were at unoccupied homes.

During the day shift unknown actors entered an unlocked door of a residence off of West Saddle River Road and stole jewelry.

These same actors attempted to open a rear window of a home off of East Allendale Road. When the window shattered their burglar alarm sounded. The suspects were denied entry to the residence and nothing was reported stolen.

Please report any suspicious people, vehicles or activity as soon as it is observed. Patrol units will respond to and investigate all reports of suspicious situations. The eyes and ears of the community are our best defense against these criminals.
