Attempt to locate suspicious male/vehicle Borough Sea Girt
Good Afternoon, This is Captain Kevin Davenport of the Sea Girt Police Department. I want to advise residents, parents and children of two separate incidents that recently took place in the Borough of Sea Girt. On two separate occasions, juveniles reported to police that they may have been followed by a green or dark colored sedan while riding their bicycles. One of the incidents a juvenile was alone on her bicycle in Carriage Way and reported a male operator with a beard driving a green colored vehicle followed her. Both incidents, the operator of the vehicle did not say anything to the juveniles. I do not want to cause panic to parents or children, however I feel it is necessary to get this information out so residents and their children remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings. Please report anything suspicious to police and if it is safe try to get the best description possible of the suspicious person or vehicle. Although I feel it is safe for children to be out riding bikes or walking the streets in Sea Girt, if possible they should pair up with friends until we get more information on these suspicious incidents. Increased patrols have been initiated by the police department, however I am looking to the public for their help in locating this individual and vehicle. So please report anything you feel may be relevant to these incidents to police at (732) 449-7300 or dial 911.
Thank you
