COMMERCIAL ROBBERY
GAMBRILLS
On September 22, 2013, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers from Western District responded to the Sprint Mobile Rev store located in the 2300 block of Brandermill Boulevard in Gambrills for a reported robbery.
Officers learned that a suspect inside the store was observed by customers concealing several cell phones. A store employee confronted the suspect and requested that he return the phones. At that juncture, the suspect proceeded to punch the employee in the face and ran from the store being chased by several customers. The suspect entered a white station wagon, possibly a Ford Taurus, which was occupied by a second suspect in the passenger seat. The suspect struck one of the customers with his vehicle, causing superficial injuries and fled the shopping center in an unknown direction.
The suspect vehicle may have Washington D.C. plates “EE5763”.
Suspect #1: Black male, approximately 50 years old with a medium to heavy build, approximately 5’10” with a gold front tooth, wearing a blue flannel shirt, jeans and a baseball cap
Suspect #2: Black male, approximately 150 pounds, wearing a red shirt
