Medicare phone scams Manchester citizens
The Manchester Police Department has received several calls from Manchester citizens about this scam. Reportedly the caller says he/she is from Medicare and says that with the Affordable Health Care Act, they would be sending them a new Medicare card. They then ask for bank account information and such to verify the Medicare account.
Manchester Police Chief advises that bank accounts have been looted by such a scam.
Protect yourself and your bank accounts. Do not give ANYONE your personal information such as bank information or Social Security Number
