PRESS RELEASE: Heroin investigation leads to multiple arrests
On Monday evening, September 23, 2013, Warsaw Police Narcotic officers performed a controlled purchase of Heroin at 533 E. Market Street, in Warsaw after receiving a tip of illegal drug activity at that location following an overdose. The resulting investigation and subsequent search warrants seized approximately five (5) grams of Heroin and 100 grams of Marijuana from the Warsaw location and also from a Syracuse residence. Three (3) suspects were arrested and more arrests and charges are probable.
Those arrested are:
Shaun Hinson, 34 years old, of Akron, IN., is charged with class A felony enhancement for Dealing in a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, and felony Possession of Marijuana.
Nicholas Richcreek, 27 years old, of Syracuse, IN., is charged with class A felony enhancement for Dealing in a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance.
Debbie Watson, 36 years old, of Warsaw, IN., is charged with class A felony enhancement for Dealing in a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance.
The charges were enhanced to class A felonies due to the suspects illegal drug activity occurring across the street from a Warsaw city park that hosts youth football and cheerleading leagues.
Warsaw Police were assisted by the Syracuse Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of illegal drugs in our community by being aggressive toward the use, manufacture, and possession of illegal drugs.
