Copper thieves are vandalizing electric facilities at remote locations. On multiple occasions, meter bases and wires have been ripped from attached poles. The force used could have easily broken poles causing further damage, injury or even death.
Although costly to repair, of far greater importance is the increased potential for public injury that results from acts of vandalism.
Anyone witnessing a suspicious act should immediately contact their local Sheriff's office.
