On May 16, 2013 at approximately 8:00am, a resident of Sunhigh Drive in Thurmont reported her vehicle stolen from her garage. Thurmont Police began to investigate and learned that the stolen vehicle was equipped with OnStar. Later that morning OnStar located the stolen vehicle traveling in Baltimore City and Baltimore City Police were notified. With the assistance of OnStar and the Baltimore City Police the stolen vehicle was located and the operator was apprehended. With the assistance of the Thurmont Police, the suspect was identified as: Jason Paul Kiser, age 46, of Westminster, Maryland. Mr. Kiser had several outstanding warrants and was taken into custody by Baltimore City PD. Thurmont Police secured an Arrest Warrant for Mr. Kiser for 2nd degree Burglary and Theft of Motor Vehicle. On September 25, 2013, Mr. Kiser was served with the arrest warrant in Baltimore County where he is currently being held.
