TPD arrested 2 Juveniles for CDS and CDS paraphernalia.

On September 30, 2013 at approximately 3:15pm, a Thurmont Police Officer observed some juvenile males walk through a parking lot into a grassy area of the 400 Blk N. Church St. As the officer approached the male subjects, he detected an odor of burning marijuana. All five juvenile males were detained and identified. Further investigation revealed that two 16 year old males were in possession of marijuana and CDS smoking devices. The two juveniles were arrested and taken to the Thurmont Police Department where they were later released to their parents. Charges were placed against the two juvenile males for: Possession of CDS (Marijuana), and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Charges have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
