Empowering Children to Prevent Bullying

(Windsor Heights, IA) The radKIDS Personal Empowerment Safety Education program is quickly becoming the most effective Bullying Prevention Curriculum in the country and is the only bullying prevention model that is taught "through the eyes of a child". The radKIDS curriculum teaches children pre-school age through pre-teen what they want and need to know, and perhaps more importantly, how to stop a bully without increasing violence, fear, or victimization. The program also addresses interactions with strangers as well as defense against the abduction. The radKIDS strategy is working and is one built on empowerment.

One out of four children has been bullied. In honor of National Bullying Prevention month and at the invitation of the Windsor Heights Police Department, the national leader in children's safety and personal empowerment, radKIDS, is coming to Iowa to equip our leaders with resources and curriculum to address our children’s safety. We are excited to share this opportunity in the hopes that you or someone from your agency or community will join us.

The radKIDS Personal Empowerment Safety Education Program will be at the Windsor Heights Community & Events Center on October 21-25, 2013 to conduct a National Instructor Certification Training. Educators, law enforcement officers, child advocates and healthcare workers have an opportunity to help protect our children and families within our community by attending this five day instructor development course. We hope you will consider joining us and taking part in this opportunity to train and certify your own radKIDS Instructors within your community or organization for pennies per child.

To enroll in this rare opportunity or for additional information about radKIDS, please contact Officer Amanda Woods of the Windsor Heights Police Department at the contact information listed above.
