PRESS RELEASE: Warsaw Police make multiple drug arrests.

October 4, 2013

On Thursday evening, October 3, 2013 Warsaw Police made multiple drug arrests and served several drug warrants.

Around 5:25 p.m., Warsaw Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at Lucerne Park, located at 800 N. Park Avenue, in Warsaw. Police followed the vehicle and made a traffic stop following traffic violations. The driver, Angelique Holmes, 25 years old, of Mentone, IN., was found to have a suspended license and officers began an inventory due to the impound of the vehicle. During the inventory, police located a white cooler containing marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and multiple baggies of finished Methamphetamine. The passenger, Coty Prater, 26 years old, of Winona Lake, IN., was arrested and charged with dealing methamphetamine, dealing marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. The dealing charges were enhanced to a class B felony for being at a city park. He was being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on a $2,000 surety bond. The driver, Angelique Holmes, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and driving while suspended.

Warsaw Police also served several drug warrants yesterday afternoon. In all. Warsaw Police arrested seven (7) individuals for various drug related offenses. Those arrested are:
• Catherine Curtis, 68 years old, of Warsaw, IN., for dealing or manufacturing in a schedule I controlled substance.
• Zachary Kerr, 25 years old, of Silver Lake, IN., for dealing or manufacturing in a schedule V controlled substance.
• Michael Nelson, 26 yeas old, of Silver Lake, IN., for dealing or manufacturing in a schedule I or II narcotic drug, and theft.
• Mark Ogle, 29 years old, of Warsaw, IN., for possession of marijuana.
• Arthur Phagan, 64 years old, of Warsaw, IN., for possession of marijuana.
• Weston Souther, 40 years old, of Warsaw, IN., for possession of a schedule I or II narcotic drug.
• Daniel Trump, 35 years old, of Warsaw, IN., for possession of a counterfeit substance with intent to deal.

Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of illegal drugs in our community by being aggressive toward the use, manufacture, and possession of illegal drugs. Any drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9540.
