Norwalk Purse Snatch Robbery Suspect Will Receive 20 Year Prison Sentence #LASD
Anthony Davenport, a 45 year old resident of Hawthorne, will receive a lengthy prison sentence for a spree of purse snatch style robberies. In late August to early September of 2013, several purse snatch style robberies occurred in the parking lots of shopping centers in Norwalk and South Gate. These incidents were being investigated by both the South Gate Police Department and the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station. Collaboratively, the two agencies determined the same suspect was responsible. On September 14, 2013, Anthony Davenport was arrested by South Gate Police Officers after he was observed committing a robbery. Anthony Davenport was subsequently linked to several purse snatches, formally charged with several criminal violations, and ultimately received a 20 year sentence out of Norwalk Superior Court on Monday October 7, 2013.
