Crime Bites – Bite Back
The Moorpark Police and Sheriff’s Encourages Action During Crime Prevention Month Moorpark Sheriffs and Police– Crime bites. The headlines of thefts from vehicles, burglaries, and vandalism have some people fearful for their safety and their family’s safety. The Moorpark Police Department says people can bite back against crime during Crime Prevention Month.
Preventing crime takes action by each and every individual citizen. A community with rampant crime is a community that lacks citizen involvement and partnership with their local law enforcement. Though our community is not rampant with crime, we must continue to be vigilant, working together even harder to keep it this way. Everyone can do something to prevent crime, from helping police identify crime problems, starting a Neighborhood Watch, becoming a Volunteer in Policing, or taking commonsense steps to protect your homes, cars, and property.
We all want to prevent crime. It takes law enforcement and our community creating strong partnerships along with bringing together the business community, our schools, our faith-based groups, and all levels of government.
For more information on how to help stop crime in our neighborhoods, start your own neighborhood watch, become a Volunteer in Policing, or to just become one of the many who have decided to partnership with the Moorpark Police and the Ventura County Sheriff’s office to better the City of Moorpark’s quality of life, Please contact Senior Deputy Beat Coordinator Bob Berger at the Moorpark Police Services building—805-299-1504
