NARRATIVE:

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s East Los Angeles Station is conducting an evacuation of a residential area on South Gerhart Avenue, between West Pomona Boulevard and East Beverly Boulevard.

A gas line has been punctured by a work crew in the 300 block of South Gerhart Avenue, East Los Angeles. Los Angeles County Fire is on scene and working with Sheriff’s Department personnel to rectify the problem.
