Farmington Public Safety officers are investigating a home invasion that occurred at a residence on the 23000 block of Farmington Road (Between Orchard St and Freedom Road). The incident occurred sometime between the hours of 12:00 AM and 2:30AM on October 23, 2013. The unknown suspect(s) forced entry through the front door of the home. Once inside, they stole jewelry and a purse. The hearing impaired residents were in the home at the time of the incident, but were not alerted to any distrubances.

The Farmington Public Safety Department reminds residents to utlize "Target Hardening" methods for nighttime home security. Consider installing motion detectors and leave porch and driveway lights on during the nighttime hours. Also, consider installing steel exterior doors with dead-bolt locking capabilities.
